Stop American Censorship!
Today, Wednesday, January 18, 2012 is a day of protest for all American internet users. Websites such as Twitter, Google, Facebook, and Yahoo among others are being taken by storm by angry internet users. Apparently, Congress is trying to pass the Internet Censorship Bills, SOPA & PIPA which will allow the government to take legal action against search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo etc.) and have them filter domain names and block websites accused of copyright infringement. Read more about it here: How SOPA would affect you: FAQ
So in the spirit of conformity I chose to join in on the protest and censor out my logo which you see above. If this bill passes, some of our favorite websites such as: Wikipedia, WordPress, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and so much more will be banned. If you don’t have your own website or blog you can do your part by going here: Stop American Censorship and filling out this quick form to send a letter to your State Senator. Join the fight! End Piracy, Not Liberty!
